Museum of the South-Eastern Moravia is situated in the building No. 14 of the former Bata shoe factory in the center of Zlin. Its exhibition The Bata Principle: fantasy today, reality tomorrow can be found on the 3rd floor of the building.
The exhibition offers three major themes: history of the Bata Company including the shoe museum with 600 items of historical, exotic and Bata footwear, the Film Cabinet illustrating history of Zlin movie studio and the section of Modern Travelling dedicated to Hanzelka and Zikmund and other legendary Czechoslovak travelers.
The exhibition includes many three-dimensional objects from shoe-machines to airplanes. Texts are both in Czech and English, a written guide for the shoe museum is available also in German. Some interactive items are available as well as presentation of short BW movies.
